Dr. Sanjeev Vasudevan, working at Pain & Palliative Department at Amrita Institute of Medical Science, gave a session on his work on “Upliftment of the tribal people of Wyanad”. During his session he emphasized the need for simple living, limiting one’s needs and to have high thinking.
He asked the children to develop values like patience, togetherness, humbleness, sharing and caring etc. Along with his wife, he motivated the children to serve the less fortunate and demonstrated that if we live to serve others, and have that trust and submission to God, our needs will be taken care of. He also taught the children to be content with what they have, and not run after material things. His talk about his experiences working with the tribal people moved and inspired the children and made a huge impact.
